Explore our highly certified, energy-efficient explosion-proof and standard AC motors engineered for severe duty applications.
In global heavy industries, engineering designs are increasingly moving from traditional 380V-400V power distributions to highly efficient 690V system architectures. Operating three-phase electric motors at 690V significantly reduces line currents compared to lower voltages of equivalent power ratings. By leveraging lower current density, industrial facilities can utilize thinner copper cables, shrink transformer sizes, and dramatically decrease line losses ($I^2R$).
For mining operations, tunnel boring installations, oil fields, and marine applications, voltage drop over long cable distances poses a severe threat to operational integrity. A 690V system serves as a crucial engineering bridge, delivering the power output of medium-voltage machinery without the high installation costs and complex safety protocols associated with 1kV+ electrical systems.
A global partnership driving innovative powertrain architectures and top-tier industrial electric motor technology.

Wolong has established dedicated motor and drive control R&D facilities across China, Europe, and Japan, alongside its central Research Institute in Shanghai. Through the simulation of multi-physics fields, our engineers optimize mechanical performance, thermodynamic behavior, and electromagnetic characteristics, ensuring that all our 690V motors operate at peak efficiency under harsh conditions.
A closer look at the advanced structural components that make our 690V motors highly reliable and durable.
Our rotors feature robust squirrel-cage designs. Cast aluminum rotors are produced using centrifugal or high-pressure die-casting techniques, ensuring a void-free, single-piece structure that integrates the rotor bars and end rings. For large-capacity motors, copper bar rotors are utilized, featuring reinforced bar securing and high-temperature brazing end-ring welding. A dynamic protective ring design is also applied to high-speed motors to prevent deformation under centrifugal stress.
The stator coil is wrapped with high-quality polyester film, glass cloth, and medium-to-high content mica tapes. Following assembly, the stator undergoes the VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) process, curing the windings into a highly dense, moisture-resistant, and thermally stable structure. This insulation system provides excellent dielectric strength, effectively resisting the voltage spikes ($dV/dt$) generated by modern variable frequency drives (VFDs) operating at 690V.
The structural frames are designed using multi-physics structural and fluid simulation software. Built from high-tensile cast iron or fabricated structural steel, these frames provide high structural rigidity, excellent heat dissipation, and safety margins against mechanical resonances. This helps the motors withstand heavy mechanical shocks and keep temperature rises well below Class F limits.
The low-noise ventilation system consists of an engineered fan cover body, an air guide cylinder, protective windows, and integrated silencer plates. The side-entry air inlet design prevents backpressure from nearby obstructions and reduces noise caused by turbulence. The use of internal acoustic damping materials significantly lowers operating decibel levels while maintaining an IP22/IP23 finger-safe rating.
Ensuring absolute safety and seamless market access across the world's most demanding jurisdictions.

Our motors are built to perform reliably in demanding and harsh environments around the globe.
In locations with volatile gases (methane, ethylene, hydrogen), our ATEX and IECEx-certified flameproof motors ensure spark-free operation. Sized for 690V distribution, they power large centrifugal pumps, compressors, and ventilation fans, reducing energy losses in continuous run cycles.
Underground coal faces require rugged, highly reliable drives. Integrating the rugged design principles of Morley and ATB, our YBU and YBC coal shearer cutting motors operate efficiently at 690V. The robust stator winding withstands transient voltage surges, and the explosion-proof enclosures protect against coal dust and methane ignition.
Salt spray, high humidity, and vibration require specialized marine motors. Our YQ series low-voltage marine motors carry DNV Type Approval, operating at 690V/60Hz grids typical on ships. They power thrusters, heavy-duty winches, and bilge pumps, featuring IP56 or IP66 environmental protection and anti-corrosive coatings.
For municipal water distribution, wastewater management, and tunnel ventilation, our high-efficiency WE3 and WE4 series motors provide reliable, long-term operation. Utilizing a 690V configuration minimizes line losses over extended tunnel layouts.

A structured approach to sourcing high-performance 690V industrial motors while minimizing risk.
For international procurement teams, the initial purchase price is only one component of the overall cost. Our IE4 and IE5 (WEPM series PMSM) motors help lower long-term operating costs. A 5-point efficiency improvement can yield significant energy savings over a motor's operational lifetime, paying back the initial investment within months of deployment.
We invite global clients to conduct virtual or in-person audits of our Chinese manufacturing facilities. We provide detailed material traceability reports for copper stator coils, rotor steel cores, and cast-iron frame components, verifying that all products meet international standards before shipment.
Every industrial project has unique requirements. We provide comprehensive customization services, including custom shaft configurations, specialized terminal box orientations, multi-voltage windings (e.g., 400V/690V delta-star configurations), and integrated RTD temperature sensors. Our team works directly with your engineering department to ensure seamless mechanical and electrical compatibility.
